Are Your UPS Shipping Quotes in Ubercart Too High?

If you are using the UPS Shipping module for your Ubercart website (eCommerce modules for Drupal) and it seems like the quotes you are getting from UPS are too high, it can be for a number of reasons. One thing that you may wish to check is to see what you have entered as the Pickup Type in your Shipping Quote settings. This is located at: Home › Administer › Store administration › Configuration › Shipping quote settings > Quote Methods or URL: admin/store/settings/quotes/methods/ups (after your domain).

If you are simply using the UPS module to generate shipping quotes (i.e. you do not have a specific arrangement with UPS, you are not having packages picked up, etc.), you will probably want to have your Pickup Type set to "Customer Counter". This should ensure that the quotes presented during checkout on your site match the quotes generated on UPS.com.

Thanks for the note. This was indeed the issue; changing pickup type to "customer counter" and customer classification to "wholesale" gave us the same rates we had been generating through our WorldShip account.
