Using Drupal 6 for Production Sites

Back in August 2008, I mentioned that we generally were not doing web development in version 6 of Drupal for a number of reasons. There were many reasons for that.

I really didn't follow-up on that, and since that time we did move over to web development in Drupal 6.x. In the months following the August blog post, more module development was done for Drupal 6.x, as well as porting of Drupal 5.x modules over to version 6.

So we finally switched to using Drupal 6.x for web development and production sites, and we're quite happy about it. Although there are still some modules from 5.x that we would love to have seen ported over to 6.x, overall the enhancements of Drupal 6.x has been well worth the transition.
